Harry R. Huber 88, of Freeport, died Saturday February 4, 2012 at FHN Memorial Hospital. Harry was born on October 22, 1923 in Freeport, the son of Harry and Myrtle (Brandt) Huber. Harry served in World War II for the U.S. Marines. He worked at Henney Motors in Freeport and was a machinist at Honeywell. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church, the Elks, Eagles, V.F.W. and Germania Clubs. Survivors include nephews; George Hiveley of Freeport and Michael (Jeannie) Hiveley of North Port, Florida, five great nephews; Jeff (Anne) Hiveley, Jim (Amber) Hiveley, John Hiveley, Chad (Angeli) Hiveley and Troy Hiveley. Also surviving are great-great nieces and nephews; Ava, Jackson, Ben, Caitlyn, Kelsey and Keria. Harry was preceded in death by his parents and sister; Marjorie Huber Hiveley. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday February 9, 2012, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Kathleen Luke officiating.
