Harriett R. Ring

Harriett R. Ring, 91, of Forreston, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Polo Rehab and Health Care Center. Harriett was born on February 8, 1922 in Rockford, the daughter of Martin and Ester (Hansen) Engstrom. On December 14, 1946, Harriett married Edward L. Ring in Belvidere. Mr. Ring died on January 16, 2008. Harriett was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Family was very important to Harriett. Surviving are two daughters, Shelley Murphy of Forreston and Charmaine (Bob) Egan of Freeport; brother, Marshall (Carol) Engstrom of Flushing, MI.; sister, Patricia Kelly of Galena; grandchildren, Aaron and Paul Whalen, Lauren Munz and Christopher Murphy. Also surviving is one great-granddaughter Jade Calvin. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m.Wendesnday March 27, at Faith Lutheran Church in Forreston. Rev. Scott Ralston will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the Church.
