Gwendolyn Joyce Dupree

Gwendolyn Joyce Dupree, 67, of Blacklick, Ohio died September 21, in her home. She was born September 13, 1955 in Los Angeles, Ca., the daughter of William and Juanita (Pearson) Dupree. She married Ronald H. Givens in Los Angeles, Ca. Mr. Dupree has preceded Gwendolyn in death. Ms. Dupree was employed by the United States Government as a Defense Finance Accounting Supervisor. She received awards for service rendered during Base realignment and closure. She retired in 2005. She is survived by her son; Ronald H. Givens, Jr. Two sisters; Beatrice Jennings of Lakeview Terrace, Ca. and Denise (Duane) Lamm of Freeport. Two granddaughters, Deanna and Joyce Givens. Two aunts; Carolyn Lee Dupree Davis and Clentis Patricia Flournoy. Her Uncle, Arzelle Dupree. Also, her friend Diane Byrd. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five uncles and five aunts. Funeral services will be Friday, 11:00 A.M. at Crossroads Community Church, Rev. Everlena Thurmond will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00- 11:00 A.M. in the church. Burial will be in City Cemetery, Freeport.
