Gregory William Stewart

Gregory W. Stewart, 53, of Forreston, died, January 30, 2013, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Greg was born September 9, 1959, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Ronald and Jane (Titley) Stewart. On February 19, 1983 Greg married Jodi Heitz in Freeport. Greg worked as a Union Journeyman Electrician. He was a member of IBEW #364, Eagles Club, and BOFEC. He loved his family, friends, pets, food, making chili and spending good times with all he loved. He enjoyed listening to music and performed with the band Somebody and the Really Somethings. Survivors include, wife, Jodi Stewart; mother, Jane (Denni) Frank; father, Ronald (Ann) Stewart; daughters, Lindsey (Ben Goeke) Stewart and Chelsea Stewart, brothers, David Stewart; brother-in-laws; Jack (Traci) Heitz Jr. and Jacob (Tracy) Heitz; sister, Minna (Norm) Flock; sister-in-law, Jennifer Heitz; step-sisters, Heidi Ludolph and Lori Frank. Also surviving are many wonderful nieces, nephews, and special lifetime friends. Greg was preceded in death by his infant sister, Betsy, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Private family funeral services will be held.
