Gregory S. West

Gregory S. West, 56, of Freeport, died Saturday April 18, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 24, 1958 in Freeport, IL, the son of EuGene and Dolores (Lenz) West. He worked for Hartman Beverage and for FHN in family counseling for 19 years. He enjoyed helping people. Gregory is survived by his four brothers Larry West of Freeport, IL, James "Jamie" (Christine) Crawford of Hendesonville, NC, Kirk (Tina) West of Freeport, IL, and Dean (Rosemary) West of Rockford, IL; five sisters Patricia Bustos, Diane (Richard) Taylor, Gina (Jeff) Jones, Amy (Jeff) Bardell, and Jeanine West all of Freeport, IL; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends Al Franklin of Rockford, IL and Diane Randecker of Freeport, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two nephews Jeffrey S. Jones and Eric James West. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday April 25, 2015 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Barr officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at Burke-Tubbs. Burial of cremains will be in Dakota Cemetery.
