Greennatta Jackson, 71, of Freeport, IL passed away Tuesday April 23, 2024 at FHN Memorial Hospital with her family by her side. She was born September 14, 1952 in Forest City, AR to Joe and India (Jackson) Williams. Greennatta was employed at Micro Switch in Freeport and retired after 30 years. She was a member at St. Martin Missionary Baptist Church in Freeport, where she served as a church usher. Greennatta enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, and sewing.
She is survived by her two sons Paul Jackson of Freeport, IL and Terrance Jackson of Freeport, IL; three siblings Calvin Williams, Danny Williams, and Tonya (Eric) Price; and 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Greennatta in death is her parents; two sons Jerome Williams and Phillip Jackson; four siblings Paul Williams, Barbara Williams, Joseph Williams, and Glenn Williams; grandson Phillip Jackson; and sister-in-law Betty Williams.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday May 3, 2024 at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Freeport, IL with Rev. Charles Threadgill officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Freeport City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Greennatta’s memory.
