Gordon 'Pete' Lausch, 86, of Cedarville, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 1, 1925 in Stephenson County, the son of Howard and Leona (Hobbs) Lausch. Pete worked for Hasse Construction for 38 years retiring in 1990. He married Anita 'Jean' Hess on February 20, 1948 in Cedarville. Pete liked baseball and football. He was a Packer and Cubs fan. He enjoyed gardening, especially geraniums. Survivors include his wife, Jean Lausch of Cedarville; one son, Michael Lausch of Freeport; two brothers Wayne (Shirley) Lausch of Monroe and Jack (JoAn) Wolf of Davis; one sister, Anita (Howard) Wolf of Freeport, three grandchildren; Michelle, Marc, and Keith Lausch of California; five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will be Tuesday 1 p.m. at Burke-Tubbs. Rev. Bill Blomberg will officiate.
