Gladys L. Falk, 96, a resident of Freeport Rehabilitation and Health Care Center died Friday at the Health Care Center. She was born August 13, 1915 in Lancaster Township, Stephenson County, the daughter of Harlen and Elta (Mitchell) Brubaker. Gladys married Karl F. Falk on May 7, 1936 in Ridott, Illinois. He died October 21, 1979. Mrs. Falk owned and operated a house cleaning business for many years. Mrs. Falk was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday School for over thirty eight years. She was a member of 4 '"H, and the Freeport Home Bureau. Gladys enjoyed nature and her cats. In the early 80'™s Gladys visited the Holy Land. Mrs. Falk is survived by her daughter; Carol Ferry of Lemont, Illinois. Her brother; Donald Brubaker of Freeport. Her grandson; Karl E. (Joyce) Ferry of Waterloo, Illinois. Two great-grandchildren; Adam and Kristina Ferry. Mrs. Falk was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her son-in law Paul Ferry and Carol Ferry'™s companion; Terry Fitzgerald. Funeral service for Mrs. Falk will be Tuesday, 10:30 A.M. in Trinity United Methodist Church, Freeport. Rev. Julie Bunt, pastor will officiate. Visitation will be Monday, 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home. Freeport. Visitation will also be from 9:30 A.M. until time of service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill memorial Gardens, Freeport. Memorials have been established for Trinity United Methodist Church an Friends Forever Humane Society.
