Gladys J. Bardell

Gladys J. Bardell, 95, of Freeport, IL, died Wednesday December 8, 2021 at Walnut Acres in Freeport, IL. She was born January 30, 1926 in German Valley, IL, the daughter of James and Annie (Mennenga) Bawinkel. Gladys married Harold Hulls January 30, 1945, Harold passed away. She then married Harold ‘Pee Wee" Bardell, Harold also passed away. Gladys worked at Crum and Forster Insurance for 18 years, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed kids, cardinals, playing cards, country rides, and trips to the casino. Gladys is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one sister, and three brothers. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday December 13, 2021 at Burke-Tubbs funeral Home in Freeport, IL. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Freeport, IL. A memorial has been established in Gladys's memory.
