Gladys E Beidler

Gladys E. Beidler, 96, of Freeport died Wednesday November 23, 2011 at Provena St. Joseph Home in Freeport. Gladys was born on March 17, 1915 in Stephenson County the daughter of August H. and Martha (Busch) Brinkmeier. On November 23, 1934 Gladys and Melvin L. Beidler were married at the First Lutheran Evangelical Church in Freeport. Melvin passed away on January 22, 1979. Gladys was a member of Zion Church. She worked at Newell for 27 years before retiring in 1982. Survivors include; son; Kenneth Beidler of Rockford, five daughters; Delores Stewart of Freeport, Lorraine Quies of Rockford, Marilyn Cummins of Lena, Carol Heilman of Freeport and Donna (Norman) Meinert of Davis, sister Fern Southard of Freeport. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by parents, husband, two brothers and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday November 28, 2011, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Gardy Cronk officiating.
