Gilbert G. Kloepping

March 30, 1932 — April 17, 2013

Gilbert G. 'Gib' Kloepping, 81, of Freeport, died, Wednesday April 17, 2013, in his home. Born on March 30, 1932, in Green County, Wisconsin, the son of Fred W. and Florence (Stuckey) Kloepping. Mr. Kloepping served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. On August 25, 1962, Gilbert married Janet Borger in Freeport. Gilbert worked for Micro Switch from 1956-1990 in the Customer Service International Division. He was member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Senior Bowling League. He enjoyed fishing, boating and having coffee with his friends. Surviving are wife, Janet Kloepping of Freeport; son, Steven (Stephanie) Kloepping of Orangeville; two daughters, Debbie Johnson of Lena and Diane (Kurt) Hessenius of Racine, WI., brother, Delbert (Wilma) Kloepping of Monroe, WI., two sisters, Helen Wilson of Dakota and Vera Notter of New Glarus, WI. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Erin and Kayla Johnson, Erik and Sarah Hessenius, and Kyle and Drew Kloepping; three great-grandchildren; Tyler and Jaxon Musialek and Marshaun Coleman. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Rev. Julie Bunt will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, 4:00 pm. until 7:00 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
