Gertrude M Minor

Gertrude Marie Minor, 88, of Freeport went to be with the on Sunday January 29, 2012. Born on September 19, 1923 in Stearn, Kentucky the daughter of View and Aire (Williams) Johnson. Gertrude was united in marriage to Dwight Farrar he passed away on August 16, 1963. Gertrude then married William R. Minor on April 17, 1982. William passed away on April 17, 1982. Gertrude was a member of the First Church of God. Surviving Gertrude in death are two sons; Dwayne (Gloria) Farrar and Stanley (Carmen) Farrar both of Freeport, two daughters; Patricia (Julius) Matthews and Connie (Lane) Morgan. Also surviving is a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Minor was preceded in death by her parents, daughter; Vanetta Lenoir, son; Gary Farrar, brothers, sisters and two granddaughters; Cheri Bruce and Tina Farrar. Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 3, 2012 at First Church of God. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be at City Cemetery.
