Geraldine Sue Kasper

Geraldine Sue Kasper, ("Red"), was born March 15, 1949 in Aurora, Illinois and died on April 17, 2021 in West Virginia. She resided in Oak Hill, West Virginia for the last 21 years after living in Illinois and Florida most of her life. Gerry earned her Associates Degree at Highland Community College. She had a secret passion for water color painting. She was a wonderful cook and loved serving up good food and laughs to family and friends over the years. Gerry had a special gift of making anyone she came in contact with feel special and loved. She loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. Gerry is survived by her son, Adam John Kasper, her 2 grandsons, Adam Marquise Kasper, and Alexander Dylan Kasper-Bes. Gerry has one brother, Stan Kasper (Cindy), and 2 sisters, Patty Ballard and Lorene Bruce. She had nieces and nephews who have many memories of fun with her. Kelsey Barr, (Taylor), Morgan Bruce, (John), and William Bruce had a special relationship with her and called her "Nana." The other niece and nephews, Jeremy Kasper and Margaret May, (Mike), and Jaymes Carey, (Maria Kathleen) fondly called her "Aunt Gerry." Her significant other, Darrell Helton shared 21 loving and happy years with her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Wittbecker, her dad, Woody Wittbecker, her sister, Carol Myers-Trotter, and a grand nephew, Adrian Brown. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 1, 2021 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. There will be a visitation 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
