Geraldine Mitchell

Geraldine Mitchell, 50, of Freeport, died on Tuesday July 10, 2012, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Geraldine was born on August 30, 1961 in Chicago, the daughter of Curtis Shotwell and Clemmie Mitchell. Geraldine worked for several years as an assembly worker. Geraldine will be dearly missed by her two sons; Jimmy Mitchell of Freeport and Roy Ford Jr. of Chicago, daughter; Enitra Ford of Chicago, four sisters; Ann Mitchell, Carolyn Mitchell, Gloria (Bernard) Baker and Patricia Mitchell, six brothers; James (Cindy) Mitchell, Curtis Mitchell, Jerry Mitchell, Larry (Shannon) Mitchell, Michael Mitchell and Timothy Mitchell all of Freeport. Also surviving are many grandchildren. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, long time companion Roy Ford Sr., sister; Barber Mitchell and one brother; Charles Mitchell. Funeral services will be Saturday 11:00 A.M. at St. James C.M.E. Church with Rev. Roy Howard officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at St. James.
