Geraldine M. Wescott

Geraldine Mae Wescott, age 88, passed away on September 28, 2023 in Dubuque, IA. Born October 4, 1934 in Freeport IL. She was the daughter of Floyd LaVerne Wescott and Saima Wilhelmina Saario. She graduated from High School in Hanover, IL.

She married Joseph Robert Garrow October 30, 1952. During the early years of raising her family, she enjoyed spending time with her many sisters and her brother, picnics with her family, music, writing children stories and she had a deep faith.

Geraldine is survived by her daughters, Debra Garrow (Jessie) Purdue, Karen (Frederick) Homan, Diane Garrow, Susan Dietmeier and 9 grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.

There will be no visitation, no service. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

A memorial fund will be established in her name, benefiting awareness of mental illness.
