Geraldine F. Everitt

Geraldine F. Gustafson-Everitt, 99, of Freeport, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Parkview Home. Geraldine was born May 22, 1918 in Orion, Illinois, the daughter of Sanford and Gertrude (Wilkens) Lawson. She married Kenneth Gustafson on April 17, 1937. Mr. Gustafson died in 1968. Geraldine then married William Everitt on July 17, 1976. Mr. Everitt died April 6, 2005. Geraldine worked as a realtor for Doll Reality. She enjoyed playing golf and bridge in her free time. Surviving are daughter, Carole (Terry) Hoefle of Freeport; step-daughters, Kathleen Ann (Stan) Amann-Weitzer, Patricia Eileen Everitt, Victoria Irene (Steve) Everitt-Solberg and Elizabeth Anne Everitt; five grandchildren, Abbie (Jeff) Hayner, Amanda (Brennan) Roberts, Meredith (Richard) Muller, Andrew (Tracy) Gustafson, and Angela (Adam) Newman; and 15 great-grandchildren. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husbands, son, James R. Gustafson; daughter, Nan Patterson; two brothers, two sisters, and daughter-in-law, Martha. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday April 17, 2018 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
