Frank Anthony Hadjokas was born on July 15, 1942 at St. Francis Hospital in Freeport, IL, and remained in Freeport his entire life. With his loving family surrounding him, he was taken to be with his Lord on November 26, 2011. Frank started out life the wonderful son of Nick and Nikki (Eliopoulos) Hadjokas of Freeport, and they taught him well in the teachings of the Greek Orthodox Church, of which Frank was a lifelong parishioner and generous contributor to his community. Frank married his high school sweetheart Kay Anne Enzler on August 26, 1967. Frank was a beloved and devoted husband to his wife for 44 years. Frank and Kay made a name for themselves as the proprietors of 'Club Esquire', the finest steakhouse in Illinois, frequented by Chicago Bears and locals alike for decades. On March 17, 1964, Frank and his high school friend, Roger Hill, joined the U.S. Army on the 'Buddy Plan' . During the Vietnam War, Frank proved himself to be brave, selfless, and served honorably. Frank's friendships invariably became life long because of his kind and generous personality. People didn't just like Frank, they loved him and cherished their time alongside him. Whether it was for a National Hot Rod Show and accompanying road trip, a fun round of golf, or just to chat and have drinks "on the porch" at their welcoming home, everyone gathered and had a great time. Frank was a diehard Chicago Bears and Cubs fan, attended college at University of Wisconsin, Platteville, and was a devoted member of both Holy Cross Greek Orthodox, Freeport, and Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Rockford. Frank's survivors are his devoted wife, Kay Enzler Hadjokas, daughter, Lara Hadjokas, and grandson, Alex Giolito, Scottsdale, AZ.
