Frances J. Foley, 100, of Freeport, died Sunday at the Freeport Rehab Center where she had been a resident for 11 years. Frances was born in Platteville, Wisconsin on August 13, 1910. The daughter of H. Edward and Nellie Pearl (Snyder) Miller. Frances married Harry D. Foley in Princeton, Illinois in 1930. He died on March 3, 1966. Frances worked at the Stephenson County Courthouse for over 50 years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Community Reformed Church. She was a charter member of the Lincoln Towers. She was active in the Craft Club where she was also a past president. She really enjoyed being a member and singing with the Lincolnare'™s. Survivors include; one son Harry E. (Beulah) Foley of Freeport, niece Nancee (Rod) Rosen of Orlando, Florida and one granddaughter Fawn (David) Gray of Freeport. Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Edison Miller and one sister Bernice Stine. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday February 2, 2011 at the Chapel of Peace in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with Pastor Herb Bollman of the Community Reformed Church officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. A memorial has been established for the Freeport Rehab Center in her memory.
