Florence Wetzell Hieronimus

Florence A. Wetzell Hieronimus, 98 of Adeline, died Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Transitions Nursing and Rehab in Rock Falls, IL. Born on March 10, 1916 the daughter of James Franklin and Halana (Meier) Borland in Adeline, IL. Florence was a Homemaker. She married Earl Wetzell on September 19, 1954. He died on September 27, 1973. She married Freemont Wetzell on April 8, 1975. He died in March of 1996. She married Cornelius Hieronimus on October 5, 1996. He died December 22, 2010. Florence was a life long member of Adeline Zion Evangelical Church, where she was the church organist for over 40 years. She attended Adeline schools and graduated from Polo High in 1933. Florence enjoyed music. Survivors include her two sons Jim (Karen) Wetzell of Sterling and Jon (Ivernia) Wetzell of Sterling; two step daughters Janet (Rich) Peterson of Pecatonica and Vesta (Lyle) Clark of Davis,IL; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, Earl, Freemont and Cornelius and one daughter Joyce Truedson. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 24 11 a.m. at Adeline Zion Evangelical Church. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the Church. Burial will be in Adeline Cemetery.
