Evelyn J. Bolen

Evelyn J. Bolen, 82, of Forreston, died Monday August 3, 2015 at Presence St. Anne Center in Rockford, IL. She was born October 4, 1932 in Belvidere, IL, the daughter of Burt and Dorothy (Brubaker) King. She married Raymond F. "Red" Bolen January 12, 1952 in Forreston, IL; he died March 16, 2003. She worked for Mid America Plastic Factory in Forreston and also was a bus driver for the Forrestville Valley School District. Her kids and family were a very important part of her life. Evelyn is survived by her three sons, Rex (Tina Cannova) Bolen, Ronald (Barb) Bolen both of Freeport, IL, and Rory (Maricella) Bolen of Aurora, IL; her daughter, Marianne (Evandro) Bartole of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Wayne King of Rockford, IL and Bob (Darlene) King of Byron, IL; two sisters, Shirley (Clyde) Lamoreux of North Carolina and Connie Reber of Byron, IL; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A time of gathering will be held from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. Saturday August 8, 2015 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Forreston. Following the visitation there will be a burial at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Rochelle, IL.
