Evelyn A. Reifsteck

Evelyn A. Reifsteck, 90, of Freeport, IL passed away, Saturday February 4, 2023, in her home. Evelyn was born February 7, 1932 in Orangeville, IL the daughter of John and Bessie (Kuhnke) Riemer. Evelyn married Robert Roemer October 13, 1949 in Orangeville. Mr. Roemer passed away March 17, 1986. Evelyn then married Jerry Reifsteck June 16, 1999 in Freeport, IL. Mr. Reifsteck passed away October 30, 2012. She was a member of Christian Womens Club, and Home Extension. She enjoyed crocheting, going to breakfast with friends, and spending time with her family and grand dog Gracie. Surviving are her children, Linda (Harold "Sonny") Lomas of McConnell, Becky (Daryl) Hower of Boulder City, Nevada, Bobbie Roemer of Freeport, IL and Jon (Karen) Roemer of Freeport, IL; grandchildren, Jerald (Michelle) Lomas, Stacy Duth, Chris (Alison) Hower, Lindsey Hower, Emily (Devin Krontz) Roemer, and Rachel (Eli) Hoffman; and great-grandchildren, Haley Duth, Austin Hower, Kenny Lomas and Muranda Lomas. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Verla Truman and Viola Strong; brother, Delbert and husbands, Robert Roemer and Jerry Reifsteck. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday February 11, 2023 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time-of-service Saturday.
