Eugene Porter

Eugene Porter, 84, of Freeport, died Monday June 26, 2017 at FHN Memorial Hospital. He was born February 17, 1933 in Paris, TN, the son of Robert and Elizabeth Porter. Eugene worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Chicago. He enjoyed sports, nature, life and family. Surviving is his sister Pat Batie of Freeport, IL; his special friend Susan Carter; and his cousins Nate and Sam Teague. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and an aunt. Funeral services will be noon Saturday July, 1, 2017 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service also at Burke-Tubbs.
