Elezia Euells

Elezia (Hollins) Euells, 84, went to be with the lord surrounded by her family on September 15, 2021. She was born on June 8, 1937 in Vaughn, MS. to Lilbert Hollins and Mary Willie (Green) Hollins. She accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age and was a faithful member of St. James C.M.E. Church in Freeport, IL. where she served on the Usher Board and was also a Sunday school teacher for many years. She worked and retired from Sunstrand in Freeport, IL. She loved her 9 daughters and always told them to love and take care of each other. Her greatest enjoyment came from her grandchildren. In one way or another, she helped raise them all. Every time, one of her grandchildren would come to visit she would always have their favorite meal cooking. To this day, the grandkids think and believe they were her favorite. She would always say she has no favorite, just love for all of them. She leaves to cherish in her memory 8 daughters: Hilda (Garry) Edison, Sr., Betsy Euells, Vanessa EuellsFricks, Nancy Euells, Natalie (Terrance Seals) Euells, Susan Euells, Stacy Euells, Angelia Euells-Moffett; 16 grandchildren: Octavia Edison, Jamila (Andre) Green, Lilbert Euells, Brandy (Chris) Echols, Rance (Kacey Buss) Stewart, Donta Euells, Maceo Euells, Garry Edison, Jr., Shavanti Euells, Chase (Casey) Euell, Tavares Euells, MiJoi Euells, Takeria Seals, LaTifah Ross, Jaleel Moffett, Markel Moffett; 27 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; sister Parhtenia Williams of Freeport, IL.; special sister, Nannie Edison of Freeport, IL.; God children: Pamela Gage, Nathaniel Euells, and Tracy Euells; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and St. James family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving eldest daughter Clara L. Euell, 5 sisters and 6 brothers. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. at St. James CME Church. A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Freeport City Cemetery. Burke and Tubbs Funeral Home is handling the funeral services.
