Elaine M. Kleindl, 85, of Freeport, died Tuesday, May 22, 2018 in her home. Elaine was born October 6, 1932 in Wellesley, Massachusetts, the daughter of William and Mary McCabe. She married James ""Jim" Kleindl in Wellesley in 1952. Elaine worked in Real Estate in Massachusetts before earning her Master's Degree from National Lewis. Elaine then worked as an educator for 26 years in the Freeport School District. Elaine was a member of FEA, NEA, IEA, she was a 40 year member of Beta Sigma Phi; she enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of many card clubs. Elaine devoted her life to her family. Surviving are her husband, James "Jim" Kleindl of Freeport; three sons, Professor Michael James (Sanae) of Tokyo, Japan, Dr, Brad Alan (Jane) of Kansas City, Missouri, and Dr, William James (Courtnay-Duchan) of Bozeman, Montana; grandchildren, James of Germany, Nicholas and Christopher of Japan, Alex and Peter of Kansas City, and Theodora and Eli of Bozeman. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother. Elaine wanted to send special thanks to her cousins, Don and Gayle Kleindl for all the love they showed over the years, and to all of her wonderful friends. At Elaine's request cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or service. A private celebration will be held with family at a later date.
