Eileen V. Hayes

Eileen V. Hayes, 92, of Freeport, passed away, Saturday May 4, 2024, at Manor Court. Eileen was born July 26, 1931, in Pearl City, Illinois, the daughter of Walter and Elsie (Walters) Wirtjes. Eileen married Donald L. Hayes July 22, 1950, in Pearl City, Illinois. Mr. Hayes passed away February 21, 2003. Eileen was a member of the First Church of Nazarene and the Red Hatter's of Freeport. She enjoyed gardening and working on word puzzles in her free time. Family always came first with Eileen.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald L. (Joan) Hayes of Monroe, WI. And Steven (Tena) Hayes of Florence Station, IL.; three daughters, Sharon Schrader of Rosemount, MN., Judy (Allen) Derrer of Lanark, and Rose (David) Kidder of Midland, TX.; also surviving re many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and two sisters.
