Edna M. Retzlaff

Edna M. Retzlaff, 79, of Afolkey, passed away Friday February 19, 2016 at Stephenson Nursing Center. She was born August 31, 1936 in Stephenson County the daughter of Vernon and Ethel (White) Rudisill. Edna married Dale Retzlaff on March 16, 1957 in Freeport. Dale passed away on June 8, 2006. Edna loved animals, gardening, working around the house, spending time with family and the neighborhood kids. Edna is survived by three brothers, Merle (Shirley) Rudisill of Red Oak, IL, Don (Suzanna) Rudisill of Red Oak, IL and Dan (Diana) Rudisill of Belvidere, IL; two sisters Norma (David) Heiden of Rockford, IL and Judy (Robert) LaFurge of Davis, IL. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday February 25, 2016 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Pastor Gavin Brandt will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in Edna's memory.
