The Legacy of a good man, loved by many.
Ernest Michael Stacy was born June 19, 1953 in Racine, Wisconsin to Lydia E. Stacy and Lysanders Fason. In 1970 Michael relocated to Freeport, IL. In November 1991 he met the love of his life Cecelia L. Williams. In October 9, 1993 they were united in holy matrimony under the teachings and leadership of Rev. Clarence Hill. This radiant union birthed 2 beautiful children, Micah, a son after his own heart and Makiah his Sweet Pea.
Accomplishments
Michael became an employee of Honeywell (Microswitch) where he served for 38 years. In 2013 due to a forced retirement, Micael returned to school where he received his high school diploma through Highland Community College 40th Recognition Ceremony. June 19th 2013 (Yes, on his birthday), Michael graduated and was a speaker at his Recognition Ceremony. Michael joined the Freeport School District 145 where he was a Bus Driver and Lead Trainer of new bus drivers for 10 plus years.
The Road To Glory
On Monday October 30, 2023, after a 3 year fight with cancer, God in his infinite wisdom dispatched His Heavenly Angels and took Ernest Michael Stacy a loving husband and father home to Glory where he will now rest and walk the streets of gold.
Ernest Michael Stacy leaves to celebrate his life, his loving devoted wife of 30 years Cecelia L. (Williams) Stacy three loving children, Makiah Stacy, Micah Stacy of Freeport, IL, and Devron Bostic of Racine, WI. and one adorable Grand son Xavier Michael Malik Stacy. 3 Sisters on his mother side, Camilla McKinney of Racine WI, Regina Wilkenson of Greensboro NC, and Valarie Stacy of Milwaukee WI. 2 Sisters 3 brothers on his fathers side, Gwendolyn Fason of Duluth GA, Demetra Fason of San Diago CA, Mark and Myron Fason of Racine WI. Lynn Fason of Collierville, TN. 7 sister-in-Love and 6 brother-in-Love, Vestajean (Bobby) bush, Lola (Gearl) Leeper, Jacqueline Morgan, Kathleen Williams all of Freeport, IL. Delores Williams and Gregory Williamson of Racine WI, Mary Pearl (T.C.) Brown and Tommy Williams of OK city, OK Carthan Williams of Tulsa, OK. Donita Williams of Lawton, OK. and Dean (Mary) Scott of Woodstock,GA. A host of nieces and nephews, a special nephew Mariontai J. (Creese) Stacy , who he called son of Racine, WI. , specials Aunts, cousins, and many many friends and the entire Faith Center Family who loved him dearly.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Lydia Stacy and LaSanders Fason, 3 deposits in Heaven, son Tellis Davis, 3 brothers Natan Stacy, Everett Fason, Nathaniel Fason, and 2 sisters Denice Stacy, Clarice Hayslett, Aunts and Uncles and special Great Aunt Emma.
