Duane A Sneek

Duane A. Sneek, 64, of Shannon, died Monday January 9, 2012. He was born on October 7, 1947 in Freeport, the son of Simon E. and Doris J. (Casford) Sneek. Duane was a 1965 graduate of Shannon High School. He worked at the Probation Department in Carroll County for over 30 years retiring in 2007. Duane served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Duane liked to spend time at the Sneek Fly In. Survivors include one sister; Dena Sneek of Freeport. Also surviving are many cousins. Preceded in death by his parents, brother; John and nephew; Jeremy Kaney. Funeral Services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday January 14, 2012 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport.
