Dorothy I Brock

Dorothy I. Brock, 88, of Freeport, died Sunday April 3, 2011, at Stephenson Nursing Center in Freeport. She was born December 29, 1922 in Freeport, the daughter of Roy and Marion (Scott) Witt Sr. On June 28, 1941 Dorothy married Raymond Brock in Freeport. Raymond died January 4, 2007. Dorothy worked at Burgess Battery for over 30 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and camping. Survivors include one son, Michael (Brenda) Brock of Freeport, one daughter Dorothy (Vernon) Scudder of Freeport, one brother, William (Avril) Witt of Freeport, one sister, Margery Klipping of Lena,4 grandchildren; Anthony Scudder, Andrew Scudder, Angela Scudder and Lisa Stoehr, Also survivng are 20 great and great-great grandchildren and 3 step grandkids Philip, Brad, and Steven Maize. Preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother Roy. Memorial Services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday April 6, 2011 in the Chapel of Peace at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dennis Jared officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service in the Chapel of Peace. A memorial has been established in Dorothy'™s memory.
