Dorothy A. Lashbrook

Dorothy A. Lashbrook, 90, of Freeport, IL passed away Friday July 12, 2024 at FHN Memorial Hospital. She was born March 1, 1934 in Carroll County, IL, the daughter of Geike and Anna (Wilts) Wubben. Dorothy married James R. Lashbrook on March 11, 1961 in Freeport. James passed away January 2, 1998. Dorothy was employed at Micro Switch for 32 years as a group leader. She also farmed alongside her husband for many years. Dorothy loved cats and she enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking, and baking. Family was really important to Dorothy and she loved spending time with all of her family.

She is survived by her son Randy Lashbrook of Freeport, IL; two daughters Rose (Randy) Davis of Freeport, IL and Holly (Stuart) Turner of Monroe, WI; four grandchildren Joshua (Skye Stoffel) Conroy, Jacob (Amber) Conroy, Samantha (Joshua) Jones, and Decker Joynt; and eight great-grandchildren Amethyst Conroy, Carly Joynt, Finnley Conroy, Jace Conroy, Quinn Conroy, Wilder Conroy, Harrison Jones, Elijah Jones.

Preceding Dorothy in death is her husband, three brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday July 18, 2024 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport, IL, Pastor Eddie Eddy officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Cedarville Cemetery. A memorial has been established in Dorothy’s memory for Friends Forever Humane Society in Freeport. A special thank you from the family to FHN Hospice, Kara Hofmaster, and nurse Ashleighna Parnell.
