Doris M. Wiegmann

Doris M. Wiegmann, 91, of Freeport died Tuesday at F.H.N. Memorial Hospital. She was born December 11, 1921 in Mineral Point, Wisconsin the daughter of Leo and Cecelia (Mongold) McCarville. She married Philip E. Wiegmann on January 6, 1945 in Freeport. Doris graduated from Mineral Point High School in 1941. Doris then graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1944. Doris was a R.N. and for 20 years served as Director of Nursing at Stephenson Nursing Center, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Northwest Nurse'™s Association. Mrs. Wiegmann was a member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. She and her husband moved to Manchester, Tn. In 2006 and returned to Freeport in 2011. They enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Mrs. Wiegmann is survived by her husband, her son, John (Sue) Wiegmann, of Freeport; son-in-law; Raymond Heister, of Freeport; her brother, Robert (Jean) McCarville; of Janesville, Wis., her sister, Elaine Bratton, of Mineral Point, Wis., four grandchildren, Terry (Corina) Wiegmann of Pearl City, David(JoAnne) Wiegmann; of DeForest, Wis., Robert (Becky) Heister; of Freeport and Angela Heister of Tennessee. Also surviving are 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wiegmann was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Janet Heister, Two brothers; Frank and Joe and her infant great-great-grandson. A funeral Mass for Mrs. Wiegmann will be Saturday, 11:00 A.M. at Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Freeport. Visitation will be Friday, 5:00-7:00 P.M. at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport and from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass Saturday at St. Thomas.
