Doris was born September 1, 1916 to Albert and Millie (Leckington) Buske of rural Lena, IL. Doris attended Crossroad Country School, known then as Lena High School. She married Melvin Coomber in 1936, Mel passed in 1958. Doris worked at Micro Switch for almost twenty-seven years. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barbara Coomber of Freeport, son-in-law, Gerald Calvert of Houston, TX., sister-in-law, Eunice Coomber of Freeport, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband Melvin, 2 sons, Jerry and Douglas, daughter, Judy, two sisters, one brother and one grandson. A visitation will be held at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home on Saturday March 26, 2016 at 10:00 AM. A prayer service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev.
