Donna Mae Plock died peacefully on March 18, 2025 in Freeport, Illinois at the age of 89.

Donna was born on June 17, 1935 in German Valley, Illinois to Thomas H. and Anna M. (Fuls) Willemssen. She graduated from Pleasant Prairie Academy in 1953. Donna married Robert Plock on January 28, 1956. She was employed as a receptionist for Dr. Griffith, then as a bookkeeper for Miller Implement, and finally as a bookkeeper for the German Valley Farmers Grain until 1979.

Donna became a member of the United Methodist Church in German Valley in 1956. She served as Den mother for the local Cub Scout Troop, and joined the GV Lions Club in 1993 serving in various offices as well as District 1-D First Lady from 1993-1994. Donna was very active in her church and the community volunteering where ever she was needed. Robert and Donna loved to spend their retirement years camping and traveling to see grandchildren.

Donna is lovingly survived by her husband Robert and their children: Debbie (Kevin) Daws, RaeAnn (Randy) Miller, and Denise Plock, Grandchildren: Erica (Jesse) Morgan, Katie (Ryan) Cerney, Jordan (Rachel), Brent (Alicia), Marissa (Miles) McShane, Connor (Staci) Daws, Dylan Daws, Corbin (Helena Logan) Miller, Cortney Miller, and Bryce Miller. (10) Great-Grandchildren: Gavin Cerney, Kailey Plock, Mackenzie Morgan, Matthew Plock, Gemma Cerney, Paisley Plock, Ashton McShane, Reagan Plock, Zion McShane, and Ruby Mae McShane. Donna is also survived by her sister Henrietta Willemssen, and brother-in-law Jack Ross.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, all three of her sons: Ricky L. Plock, Ronald E. Plock, and Donald T. Plock, sister Margie Ross, sisters and brothers-in-law Mae & Nelson Stein, and Evelyn & Alvin Diddens.

A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday March 21, 2025 at German Valley United Methodist Church, with a luncheon to follow at Harmony United Methodist Church in Freeport. Pastor Eddie Eddy will officiate the ceremony. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. There will also be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday March 20, 2025 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donna’s life. A memorial has been established in her memory.
