Donna May Dahm Sabin Kortemeier

Donna May Dahm Sabin Kortemeier, 91, of Freeport, died Wednesday March 15, 2017 at FHN Hospital. Donna was born February 5, 1926 in Freeport, the daughter of Alvin and Elizabeth (Brew) Dahm. She was married to Robert P. Sabin who preceded her in death in 1975. Donna then married Stanley Kortemeier who died in 1992. She attended Freeport Mennonite Church. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and cooking. She was a member of the Tripoli Card Club. Donna worked for Burgess Battery for two years and Micro Switch for 17 years before retiring in 1981. Surviving are three sons, John (Lucy) Sabin of Sarasota, Florida, Richard (Debra) Sabin of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Charles B. Sabin of Freeport; two daughters, Sally Ann (Richard) Moore of Sun Lakes, Arizona and Teresa Lynn Sabin of Sarasota, Florida. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, brother, Robert Dahm; sister, Virginia Hoebel; and a daughter-in-law. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday April 29, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. A memorial has been established in Donna's memory.
