Donald P. Vanbuskirk

Donald P. VanBuskirk, 88, of Freeport, died Friday August 24, 2018 at Medina Nursing Center in Durand, IL. He was born October 3, 1929 in Freeport, IL, the son of Daniel and Katherine (Pax) VanBuskirk, Sr. Donald worked for Lee's Meat Market for twenty years. He enjoyed following the Chicago Cubs and horse racing. Donald is survived by his sister Betty (Don) Thompson, Sr. of Machesney Park, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin brother, Daniel. Funeral services will be 2:30 P.M. Tuesday August 28, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial has been established in his memory.
