Donald Martin Marcum

Donald Martin Marcum, 88, of Freeport, passed away Friday December 20, 2024, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born December 28, 1935, in Freeport, the son of Chester and Florence (Bolender) Marcum Sr. Donald married Shirley Thiele on October 21, 1961, in Freeport. Mr. Marcum proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked for Wahl Clipper Corp., in Sterling, for many years.

Surviving is his wife, Shirley Marcum of Freeport; sons, Steven (Ladedra) Marcum of Stillman Valley, and Keith Marcum of Freeport; also surviving are three grandchildren, Andrew Marcum, Timothy Marcum, and Sarah Marcum.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Melvin, Max, Chester, and Kenneth; and sister, Dixie Diddins.
