Diane Morris, 65, a loving and devoted mother, departed this earthly life on Sunday, January 28th, 2024, at UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, Illinois, surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
Diane was born on May 16th, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. Diane was the daughter of Timothy and Quinton (Posey) Clark Sr. Diane married the late Johnny Morris Jr. on February 3rd, 1986, in Monroe, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, she pursued her passion for healthcare and obtained a degree as a Medical Assistant from Rockford Business College. Diane dedicated 25 years of her career to Newell, and later served 18 years at Hawthorne Inn Supportive Living Supporting Living.
Diane's faith was an integral part of her life. She actively participated as a member of Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ. She joyfully served there as a greeter, kitchen helper, and worked in the food pantry, touching the lives of many through her selfless acts of kindness. Previously, she was a member of Abundant Life Christian Deliverance Center, where she fervently interceded in prayer and served as an usher.
Diane enjoyed traveling. Her most recent trip was to Hawaii with her beloved grandson Zaion. Diane also enjoyed playing games on her tablet, serving others, cooking (sometimes for large gatherings), and spending time with family and friends who would usually end up becoming extended family to her. Many people would agree that the food she cooked was beyond delicious, especially her dressing and Diane organized several family reunions, and made strong efforts to keep that tradition going. Family history and keeping in touch with family was of great importance.
