Diane June Winters

Diane June Winters, 77, of Eagle River, WI passed away Tuesday February 7, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born March 31, 1945 in Freeport, IL to Harold and June (Fluegel) Hart. On February 12, 1966 she married Alex Winters. Both were graduates of Freeport High class of 1963. She worked as a secretary at the Freeport State Bank, and later as a receptionist for a medical practice in Eagle River, Wi. Diane loved gardening, reading, antiquing, and especially living in the North Woods of Wisconsin where she enjoyed nature and wild life. Surviving is her spouse of 57 years Alex Winters, son Jamie Winters, Gayle Winters (daughter in-law), son Joey Winters, Laura Winters (daughter in-law), five grandchildren: Lauren (Tisdale) Winters, Adam Winters, Aurora (Schoonhoven) Bollon, Bryce Winters, Carissa Winters, and four great grandchildren: Emma Tisdale, Eli Tisdale , Kellan Bollon and Shayleigh Bollon. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Hart. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 11:00AM Friday February 10, 2023 followed by a funeral service 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport, IL. There will be a fellowship / luncheon following the service at the Eagles Club, Freeport, IL. A memorial is being established.
