Deshonne Russell

Deshonne Williams-Russell went to her eternal home on Wednesday, February 15. 2017 at the University of Madison Hospital in Wisconsin. She was born on July 12, 1965 in Freeport IL to John Campbell and Dorothy (Williams) Fair. She graduated from Freeport High School in 1983. She was employed by Edie's, Community Action, and Honeywell for 20 years. She was an active member of St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She loved being a mother, spending time with her family and friends, and she was well known for walking and dancing around town with her walkman. She leaves to cherish her memories to her daughters, Phylinese Brooks and Jalissa Williams of Henderson, NV; her mother, Dorothy Fair; her sisters, Laurie A. Thomas and Colette (Lendell) McClain; a special friend/grandchild, Ty'Rus M. Parks and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, father, brother Martin Williams and her best friend Carla Carter. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James CME Church with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Burial will be in City Cemetery.
