Dennis Wayne Shores

Dennis Wayne Shores, 66, of Freeport, died in his home on Sunday January 22, 2012. Dennis was born on December 10, 1945 in Rockford, Illinois, the son of Vernon and Vivian P. (Lower) Shores. Dennis owned and operated Asner Roofing Company in Long Beach, California. Dennis was later employed by F.H.N. in maintenance and security. Dennis married Barb McGinn on March 12, 1999. He enjoyed everything to do with music, classic cars, golfing with his son and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was an avid 49ers fan. Survivors include wife; Barb Shores of Freeport, sons; Joe (Amy) Shores) of Freeport, Jim (Melani) Hajny, Dennis Shores Jr., and Tom Shores, daughters; Michelle Zimmerman, Tina Cimino, Allisande Chere Castellon and Stacy Hobbs, brothers; Vaughn Shores, Thomas Shores, Donald Shores, William Shores, Kevin (Dorene) Shores and Bobby (Dinah) Shores, sisters; Sharon (Lee) Terry and Kathleen Palmer. Also surviving are grandchildren; Nicolas and Analisa Cimino, Taylor, C.J. and Noah Daacon, Aden and Ava Wirsing and Rebecca Shores. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Jerre and sister-in-law; Karen. Visitation will be held Thursday January 26, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home.
