Dennis A. Pierson

Dennis A. Pierson, 63, of Freeport, died Monday July 7, 2014 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He was born June 19, 1951 in Princeton, IL, the son of Clarence and Mary (Druien) Pierson. He married Barbara Hunter August 5, 1972 in Savanna, IL. Dennis owned and operated D-P Builders, farmed, and was also employed by Pella Windows. He was a member of Freeport Eagles Club 679 and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed boating, golfing, and following his grandchildren's sporting events. Dennis is survived by his wife Barbara Pierson of Freeport, IL; two sons Ryan (Brenda) Pierson of Cherry Valley, IL and David (Allison) Pierson of Freeport, IL; two sisters Marlene (Leo) Korf of Forreston, IL and Lynette (Dennis) Schneiderman of Baileyville, IL; and his four grandchildren Emma, Ella, Lane, and Reid. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Kenneth Pierson. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday July 11, 2014 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Michael Bolger officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 P.M. Thursday at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport.
