Delores M. Gann

Delores M. Gann, 82, formerly of Mt. Morris and Forreston, died, Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport. Delores was born on March 24, 1933 in Forreston, the daughter of Fred and Alice (DeWall) Steinhagen. Delores married Robert F. Gann on June 10, 1950 in Forreston. Mr. Gann passed away on August 7, 1995. Delores worked at Kable Printing in Mt. Morris. She was a member of the Mt. Morris Moose Auxiliary and the Horseshoe Riding Club. Surviving are two sons, Steven (Sherie) Gann of Ainsworth, Nebraska, and Richard (Lorraine) Gann of Leaf River; daughter, Janice Petrie of Shelbyville, Kentucky; brother, Kenneth (Thelma) Steinhagen of Beecher; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-father, Wes Jacobs; grandson, David Gann; and brother, Robert Folk. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 26, 2015 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service also at Burke Tubbs. Burial will be in North Grove Christian Cemetery in Leaf River. A memorial has been established for North Grove Christian Cemetery in Mrs. Gann's memory.
