Delbert Lee Rademaker, 88, of Forreston, died Sunday July 13, 2014 at Presence St. Joseph Center in Freeport with his family by his side. Delbert was born on April 11, 1926 in Ogle County, the son of Edward and Hattie (Johnson) Rademaker. Delbert married Irene (Daniels) Ludke on November 18, 1967 in Freeport. Mrs. Rademaker passed away on March 26, 1986. Delbert was U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany from 1953-1955. He was a lifelong Lincoln Township farmer retiring in 1988. He also worked as a security guard at Quebcure Printing in Mt. Morris. Delbert was a lifelong active member of Forreston Grove Church where he was a deacon and a church elder. He was a former member of the Forreston Community Club and Ogle County Farm Bureau. Delbert was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed listening to music. Surviving are son, Leland L. (Karen) Ludke of Baileyville; sister, Lucille Toms of Forreston; three grandchildren, Melinda Bagley, Neel Huffman, and Jason (Crystal) Ludke; six great grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Austin, Lexi, Morgan, and Monte. Also surviving are two nephews, Richard (Denise) Toms and Kenneth (Mary) Toms. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother-in-law, Maurice Toms. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Forreston Grove Church. Pastor Jeremy Cheezum will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Church.
