Deanna L. Seymour

Deanna L. Seymour, 58, of Freeport, passed away, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her family. Deanna was born April 1, 1964, in Freeport, the daughter of Alonzo R. and Dolores J. (Holcomb) Crase. Deanna married Marvin D. Seymour on September 18, 2004. She enjoyed watching Disney movies, spending time of Facebook, and watching her beloved Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. Deanna worked for the Journal Standard and Rockford Register Star for many years. Surviving is her husband, Marvin "Marv" Seymour of Freeport; son, Daniel O'Connell of Freeport; two daughters, Heather (Aaron) Penticoff of Shannon and Mary (Ben Maxey) O'Connell of Freeport; brother, Harlan (Amanda) Crase of Freeport; four sisters, Debbie (Darrell) Perry and Donna (Mike) Downey both of Alabama, Kathi (Greg) Rodriguez of Lena, and Laurie Crase of Freeport; also surviving are three grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail, and Emilynn. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Deanna's memory.
