David P. Saldecki

David P. Saldecki, 61, of Byron, IL passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022 in his home. He was born December 19, 1961 in Belvidere, IL to Edward and Barbara (Dixon) Saldecki. David was employed at Loomis as a machinist. He was known for his sense of humor and his passion was racing his boat. Most of all, David enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He is survived by his two sons, Josh (Amy) Saldecki of Forreston, IL and Jason (Amber) Saldecki of Byron, IL; two daughters Renee Saldecki of Freeport, IL and Meghan (Nate) Ayer of Byron, IL; brother Mike (Chris) Saldecki of Grand Island, NE; sister Kelli Saldecki of North Carolina; seven grandchildren Colton, Maddix, Deagan, Meelah, Silas, Colin and Emmet; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceding David in death are his parents and brother, Mark. Memorial services will be 5:00 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. A visitation will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. also at Burke-Tubbs. A memorial has been established in David's memory.
