David McLennan, 64, of Winslow, died Monday November 27, 2017 in his home. David was born June 24, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Donald and Lila (Dahl) McLennan. He married Barbara J. Lief on August 20, 1993. David worked as a truck driver for 35 years. He was a Chicago Bear and Chicago Cub fan. He enjoyed woodworking, rescuing Pit Bulls, and most importantly spending time with all of his grandchildren. Surviving are his wife, Barbara McLennan of Winslow; four children, Matthew McLennan, Jessica McLennan, Amber Sandstrom-Heitter and Shawn Hale; one brother, Donald (Susan) McLennan; six grandchildren, Kylah, McKenna, Kaden, Sean, Evan, and Lainee; brother-in-law, Robert Lief; He also leaves behind many dear friends he has made in his lifetime. Five exceptionally special friends, Marty Sheets, Michael Sandahl, Chuck Olson, Lee Brinkmeier and Tom Pollari. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. Sunday December 3, 2017 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in David's memory.
