David M. Folgate

David M. Folgate, 52, of Freeport, passed away, Sunday April 23, 2023. David was born May 28, 1970, in Freeport, the son of Lynn and Sheryl (Martin) Folgate. He worked for Westside Transportation in Cedar Rapids for 10 years. David was a fan of NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. He was a member of the Freeport Moose Lodge, where he enjoyed attending.

Surviving are his parents, Lynn and Sheryl Folgate; son, Devin Folgate of Rockford; daughter, Tara Folgate of Arlington, VA.; brother, Tony (Peggy) Folgate of Freeport; sister, Sheri Klindera of Rochelle; two nieces, Hannah (Connor) Lagman and Katie Folgate; and nephew, Ian Klindera.

David was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday April 28, 2023 at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home. Visitation noon until the time of service Friday also, at Burke Tubbs. A memorial has been established in David's memory.
