David L. Fonda

David Lawrence Fonda, 70, of Freeport, died Wednesday February 21, 2018 in his home. He was born December 4, 1947 in Oak Park, IL, the son of Charles and Dorise (Landbeck) Fonda. He married Linda Tracy June 13, 1970 in Janesville, WI. David is survived by his wife Linda Fonda of Freeport, IL; two daughters, Rachael (Luigi) Fonda-Franceschina of Riverside, IL and Katie (Scott Davis) Fonda of Chicago, IL; brother, Michael Fonda of Winnetka, IL; and two grandchildren Luca and Massimo Franceschina. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday February 26, 2018 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home (504 N. Walnut Freeport, IL) with Rev. Gene Van Galder officiating. Visitation will be from 1-4:00 P.M. Sunday also at Burke-Tubbs. Dave will be remembered for his passion and dedication to his family, his community, and to cycling.
