Daquaveon Dawan Jackson "Tweet", 23, of Freeport, IL passed away Monday June 20, 2022. He was born March 24, 1999 in Freeport, IL to Wilena Thompson and LaShawn Thurman Sr. In May of 2018 he graduated from Freeport High School. During his high school years, he played basketball and football. After graduating Tweet received an engineering certificate from Highland Community College. Tweet was looking forward to the start of his new job at Liberty Village the week of this unfortunate tragedy. Tweet was baptized and confessed in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Darnell Thomas of St. Martin Missionary Baptist Church. His interest included playing basketball, traveling, and learning to modify sport and luxury cars. Most importantly Tweet loved spending time with family. He was known for his big smile, which was contagious and spoke volumes to all. He had a witty sense of humor and just smiled all the time. He would be quiet until he became comfortable with you. He was very giving and lovable. Tweet was never the one to cause trouble, he definitely was a peacemaker. Tweet leaves to cherish his fondest memories with his parents Wilena Thompson and LaShawn Thurman Sr. ; Paternal Grandparents Freida and James Boldian of Hammond IN Special Grandmother: Agnes Olalumbosun; Siblings: DeAndre Thompson,(Freeport IL), Tytianna Berry,(North Dakota) Marcus Wilson, Kiera and Lashawn Thurman Jr. all of Freeport, IL. Honorary Siblings: Tareq and Dominique Heitman, and Tone Lacy; Aunts: Gabrielle Thurman(South Suburban IL, Christine (Thomas) Johnson, Alfreda (Dyami) Pearson, Jeanette (Lenere) Thompson all of Freeport, IL; Uncles: James (Vernita) Allen, Bernard Davis and Rickey Lane all of Chicago, IL, Ray (Linda) Thompson and David Thurman of Freeport, IL, Garry (Angela) Thompson of Carpenterville, IL, Tyrone Mays of Peoria, IL, Cornell (Andrianna-Shaw) Cooper of Louisiana, Willie Cooper Jr. of Texas and Jeffery Thompson of Germany; Special Friend: Ashley Riem; and a host of other great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceded in death by: Both maternal grandparents Willie and Elizabeth (Thompson) Cooper and aunt Shaletha "Lisa" Thompson, and friends he lost along the way. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. He will always be remembered for his kind heart and the love he had for others along with that big smile. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday July 2, 2022 at Faith For Miracle Deliverance & Worship Center. A visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Freeport City Cemetery.
