Dale Edwin Williams

Dale Edwin Williams, 83, of Freeport, died Saturday March 9, 2019 in his home. He was born February 28, 1936 in Freeport, IL, the son of Joseph and Iris (Lestikow) Williams. Dale married Joyce Miller September 29, 1956 in Freeport, IL. Dale was a lifelong farmer, first Dairy and then Grain. He enjoyed John Deere Tractors, square dancing, playing euchre, gardening, and his flowers. Dale is survived by his wife, Joyce Williams of Freeport, IL; three sons, Doug (Kelli) Williams of Ridott, IL, Dennis (Jill) Williams of Freeport, IL, and Dan Williams of Freeport, IL; two daughters, Diana (John) Griffin of Maple Grove, MN and Dawn (Scott) Curran of Freeport, IL; brother, Kenneth Williams of Elroy, IL; sister, Bernice (Gene) Johnson of Rockford, IL; nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren, and one on the way. Dale was preceded in death by his parents; son, Darwin Williams; and a sister. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday March 13, 2019 at Burke-Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport with Rev. Don Jamerson officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 P.M. Tuesday also at Burke-Tubbs, Freeport. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A memorial has been established in his memory.
